What this is

Accreditation, tuition, work rights. The page does not constitute binding legal advice; for case-specific guidance, see our paid legal consultation service.

Why it matters for Pakistani applicants

Each Ukrainian procedure has a specific intersection with Pakistani documentation requirements — apostille via MoFA, HEC verification where applicable, sworn translation in Ukraine. Skipping any link in that chain produces refusal at the consular stage. This page describes the chain.

How we use this in practice

Our intake checklists reference this page directly. When we open a file, the steps described here are the steps we execute. Where the page is silent, we resolve case-by-case through the engagement.

FAQ

Is the information on this page binding legal advice?
No. It is reference material for Pakistani applicants. Binding advice on your case requires a paid legal consultation.
How often is it updated?
Quarterly, or when a relevant rule change is announced. See the Updates section.
Where can I verify this against the Ukrainian government?
See the Official Sources block on this page, plus the Library → Official Resources section.
Which universities in Ukraine accept Pakistani students?
Most state-accredited Ukrainian universities accept international students. Medical, engineering, and IT faculties are popular choices. We recommend verifying accreditation via the Ukrainian Ministry of Education database before enrolment.
What is the enrolment invitation and how do I get it?
After a university accepts your application, they issue an official enrolment invitation (запрошення). This is a formal letter on university letterhead with an official stamp. It is the basis for your type D student visa application. It must come directly from the university — not from an agent claiming to 'arrange' it.
Can I work while studying in Ukraine?
Ukrainian law permits students to work part-time, subject to certain conditions. However, any work must be within the terms of your residence status and within labour law. Working without a work permit on a student TRP alone is a grey area — seek legal advice before accepting employment.
Can my family accompany me while I study?
Not on study-ground TRP. Family reunification requires the sponsor to hold a TRP on employment or other non-student grounds. Students typically cannot sponsor family TRPs.
What happens to my TRP if I drop out or transfer universities?
Your TRP is tied to your enrolment. If you are no longer enrolled, the basis lapses. Transferring between universities requires re-registering the new enrolment with the DMSU promptly.
Is my Pakistani degree or transcript needed for Ukrainian university admission?
Yes. Universities require academic transcripts, degree certificates (where applicable), and often proof of language competency. Documents from Pakistan must typically be apostilled.
